American rapper Bobby Shmurda told loud and clear that he has ‘No Time For Sleep’ anymore. He seems to have joined the long list of celebrities who are banding together to support Cassie Ventura. In his own characteristically unique way, he fired back at Sean ‘Diddy‘ Combs after CCN obtained and released the heart-wrenching video of him assaulting his then-girlfriend Ventura. Although the rapper did not literally name-drop Diddy, his heated online video made waves in the industry, right after everyone’s attention was caught by the assault video leak. The surveillance footage showcases P. Diddy savagely attacking his then-girlfriend in a hotel hallway, which dates back to 2016.
Rightfully so, this video evidence has upset Shmurda for which he unleashed his disappointment and fury on social media platforms. He posted an idiosyncratic lesson for men who choose to abuse women.
He dropped his rant on Instagram on May 17th, throwing shade and an indirect response to the disturbing video evidence of Ventura getting assaulted by Diddy. He weighed on the footage and opened verbal fire while sharing why a man should not let a woman make him lose control. His opening message shot out: “On God, you gotta stop beating the b*tches up, y’allod’ing… Can’t no b*tch make a n*gga go crazy.” His rapid delivery of criticism continued, “Why would you put your hands on a female bro, especially when you are a multimillionaire?” without even breaking a sweat.
Shmurda then resumed his rant in his post’s caption as he dropped his fiery ‘#ShmurdaPhilosophy’. He captioned, “y’allOdEeeeing. nahyallNiccas is moving dusty this shit gotta stop ain’t no female worth yah freedom and ladies it should be no amount of money worth your respect [emoji]. I seen one of my fav celebrities do some straight dayroom shit smh( Prevention Before Cure ). #PBC young bulls These been day room a real one won’t ever you don’t see us in those positions smh leave the [cat emoji] before you beat the [cat emoji].”
The message got instant approval from his followers on Instagram as reflected in his comment section. One user wrote, “These are the reactions I want to hear from men!” While another one said, “The delivery is different, but the message is loud and clear!!!” Someone else also broke down Shmudra’s philosophy and commented, “I got y’all I speak shmurda translation- control your self no matter what don’t hit a girl.”

CNN recently posted an exposé which is supposedly buried footage of the alleged attack that Diddy made on his then girlfriend back in 2016. The surveillance video catches Combs with a towel around his torso as he violently approaches his then-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura in a hotel hallway. When Diddy catches up with her, he grabs Ventura by her hoodie and brutally shoves her to the ground. Then the footage shows the Bad Boy Records founder kicking her repeatedly before dragging her down the lobby as she remains on the floor.
Ventura moved ahead and filed a lawsuit against Diddy in November 2023 where she cited complaints addressing an abusive incident. Her words in the lawsuit uncannily reflected in the vicious attack caught on camera. This is now obtained and released by CNN, 8 long years after the violent altercation happened. On Sunday, May 17th, Diddy maintained his claims of innocence, and in an online statement he outrightly declared that he “did not do any of the awful things being alleged.” Yet, days after the emergence of the 2016 video, he uploaded an apology video seemingly that targets the public more than it asks for forgiveness from Cassie.
