The highly anticipated Golden Globe Awards is all set to take place soon and the nomination list for the 2025 event has been already revealed for diversified categories.
The Golden Globes 2025 offered a spectacular nomination list for various categories which is improving the anticipation for the event. Ariana Grande received her first Golden Globe nomination for ‘Wicked’. On the other hand, Bob Dylan’s biopic ‘A Complete Unknown’ has also ranked at the top. It received a nod for Best Male Actor in a Drama where Timothée Chalamet received the nomination. It also received a nod for the Best Picture – Drama Award. ‘Mr. and Mrs. Smith’ also gained critical acclaim with Maya Erskine and Donald Glover’s amazing performance. The TV series also received the award for Best Television Series – Drama.
Similarly, there were Atticus Ross and Trent Reznor who were chosen for Best Original Score – Motion Picture for the movie ‘Challengers’. It also received the nod for Best Original Song. The former frontman of Yuck, Daniel Blumberg also received the nomination for Best Original Score – Motion Picture. His works for The Wild Robot, Emilia Pérez, The Brutalist, Dune: Part Two, and Conclave, helped him receive the nod. The Best Original Song nominees include the artists Lykke Li, Miley Cyrus, and Andrew Wyatt for “Beautiful That Way”. The contributors to The Wild Robot, Emilia Pérez, and Better Man also received nods. It is not required to say that Selena Gomez has offered a wonderful performance in Emilia Pérez which helped her earn the nomination for Best Female Actor in a Supporting Role in any Motion Picture. Gomez also received the nomination for ‘Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series’ for her contributions to “Only Murders in the Building”.
The nominations for ‘Best Television Limited Series’ includes “Baby Reindeer”, “Disclaimer”, “Monsters: The Lyle and Eric Menendez Story”, “The Penguin”, “Ripley”, and “True Detective: Night Country” which makes the competition even tougher. When it comes to the list of nominations for ‘Best Motion Picture — Non-English Language’, the list includes “All We Imagine as Light”, “Emilia Pérez”, “The Girl with the Needle”, “I’m Still Here”, “The Seed of the Sacred Fig”, and “Vermiglio”. “All We Imagine as Light” is an Indian movie by Payal Kapadia that is earning international exposure after receiving awards at Cannes. Best Motion Picture for the animated series includes ‘Flow’, ‘Inside Out 2’, ‘Moana 2’, ‘The Wild Robot’, ‘Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl’, and ‘Memoir of a Snail’.
The 82nd Golden Globe Awards is all set to take place soon and it will be aired on January 5, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. It will be aired via CBS which marks the second time of working with the network after their collaboration back in 1982. Stay tuned for more updates.
