“Now I know my ladies in the crowd love their bodies. If you want to keep loving your bodies, you know who to vote for,” the singer-rapper told the crowd at the rally.
Vice President Kamala Harris is officially running for President in the upcoming US elections. She held her first rally on Tuesday, July 30, as the presumed Democratic presidential nominee in Atlanta, Georgia. The rally had a surprise guest and she was none other than Megan Thee Stallion. The American rapper opened the rally with a super entertaining mashup of her hits and a highly choreographed dance routine. “Now I know my ladies in the crowd love their bodies. If you want to keep loving your bodies, you know who to vote for,” the rapper told the crowd. She and her dancers rocked in blue pantsuits for the occasion. She took out global hits from her catalog for the performance, and entertained the crowd with hits like ‘Body’ and the latest Yuki Chiba collaboration, ‘Mamushi’.
Her performance clips were uploaded in X, formerly Twitter, where fans could not help but comment out of excitement. A fan commented, “starstarstarstar sparkle sparklesparklesparkle”, while another one said, “I love this song. My 7-year-old wants to learn Japanese (I speak a little) now. I’m definitely encouraging him.” Another comment under the post read, “How pathetic, deranged and offensive is D. Trump and JD Vance with their insults and gender attacks on WOMEN & women’s reproductive rights & women’s abilities to have or not have children!
I’m energized to vote for Kamala Harris!

Me and MY CAT WILL BE VOTING FOR Kamala Harris!!!” At the same time, this appearance got some backlash from the crowd as well. Some people are against Megan opening the rally with the particular song choices. They commented, “CRINGE BEYOND CRINGE. That was terrible.” “wow a song about sexualizing body is whats the headline to this election 🥴” and “Twerking in front of a presidential candidate isn’t empowering it’s degeneracy”.
Quavo is also set to speak at the rally, where he will talk about Harris’ commitment to solving and tackling one of the biggest issues the country is facing at this age, gun violence. Quavo will also talk about how Harris is running America’s first-ever White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention. Over just a week ago, President Biden stepped down from the upcoming US presidential race, giving Harris his support and endorsement to go face-to-face against Trump. This was a pivotal moment, especially when people even in his party were concerned about Biden’s age and his ability to run another 5 years as the President of the United States.
This was followed by a marvelous splash of support from celebrities including Beyoncé, Cardi B, Lizzo, Lil Nas X, and more. It seems like all the influential artists and celebrities have joined forces with Harris to support her in her historic bid to become the first female president of the United States. Following the endorsement, the Vice President released a campaign video featuring Beyonce’s 2016 “Freedom,” urging Americans to lean in and support her. “There are some people who think we should be a country of chaos, of fear, of hate. But us? We choose something different. We choose freedom.”
