MTV Video Music Award is going to be broadcast on CBS this year. The new change has surprised all its audiences and generating a huge sensation among all.
MTV Video Music Awards are going to take place soon and there is a major shift this year. For the very first time, in 2025, the MTV VMA will be broadcast on CBS. Previously, it was only broadcast on MTV and other partnered cable channels. However, there is this new change, which was quite surprising. On the 3rd of April, the authority announced and gave this new update. MTV VMA has officially made this switch.
In 2024, the VMA was broadcast on a total of 13 channels. That includes Comedy Central, VH1, CMT, BET, and various other channels. However, CBS was never a platform where VMA was broadcast before. This change has surprised the audiences. MTV Video Music Award has been one of the most anticipated awardsshows that everyone eagerly waits for. According to the data from last year, it came to know that the broadcast accumulated more than 66.7 million social interactions. Along with that, 4.08 million viewers were garnered with its original broadcast.
Bruce Gillmer and Den of Thieves co-founder Jesse Ignjatovic is the executive producer of the 2025. Gillmer has said ‘With the primary drivers in the award show landscape, and I’ll definitely put the VMAs in that category with the Grammys, the BET Awards, the AMAs, you do see an uptick. But there may be one or two too many award shows. The core award shows are doing well, and they’re growing, but there’s not room for everybody’.
The award show is five months away from now. And it has started creating a buzz among all with this new update. There isn’t any announcement regarding its nominations. Everyone is expecting that the nomination of the show will be announced very soon. Only then, audiences will be able to understand who has been nominated for the recognition of MTV Video Music Awards.
Along with all these, VMA will also announce the host of this year’s ceremony, which is not announced yet. As of now, it is only coming to know that, the MTV VMA will take place on 7th September 2025 at the USB Arena, Elmond, New York. It will start at 8 p.m. and continue till 11 p.m. It is a big night in the music industry that is creating a buzz among all.
