2024 Global Citizen Fest recently announced its 2024 lineup which includes PostMalone, Doja Cat, and many more. The event will be hosted by Hugh Jackman.
Global Citizen Festival is coming back on Saturday, September 28, and some of the biggest names in the music industry are heading towards Central Park for the celebration. This year Post Malone, Rauw Alejandro, Doja Cat, and Jelly Roll will take the stage in New York to headline the annual event, which aims to entertain people with the political cause of ending extreme poverty. “X-Men” actor Hugh Jackman is returning to the stage to host this annual event. But that is not all, Coldplay frontmanChris Martin, who is also the curator of Global Citizen Fest along with Jane Goodall is also set to appear on stage again this year.
Like its previous times, Global Citizen Fest is a free event where attendees can secure tickets via the Global Citizen website or app. Every year, the concert comes with a pivotal theme in mind. This year, the show will aim to encourage government bodies around the world to increase their financial support for all the anti-poverty programs, and restoration of the Amazon rainforest. The aim of this year’s event would also be to urge governments from all over the world to take action to provide equal access to a stronger healthcare system, education, and healthy food.

Doja Cat is among the headliners of Global Citizen Festival 2024 and she is excited to take the stage again. “It’s been a few years since I was last on the Global Citizen Festival stage in Paris, and I’m excited to join forces with Global Citizen once again in Central Park this September to drive as much action as we can to make the world a better place,” the ‘Paint the Town Red’ singer mentioned in a statement. “We all have a part we can play to help end extreme poverty and stand up for equity. I’m looking forward to being part of this major evening of positive change,” she continued.
It is a return of Hugh Jackman as well, and the actor said he was “thrilled” to return to the stage as a host. He added, “For over a decade, Global Citizen has driven life-saving impact for nearly 1.3 billion people around the world, and we’ll gather once again on September 28 to help end extreme poverty, defend the planet, and demand equity. I can’t wait to see you all on Central Park’s Great Lawn to collectively call for change on behalf of the world’s most vulnerable communities.”
The Festival announced in April that it is returning to the Great Lawn. The famous area of the New York Central Park, where the fest was being held for the last couple of years, was notably damaged during the last fest due to heavy rainfall. This incident forced the park to be closed around six months earlier than it usually closes every year. A Global Citizen co-founder, Simon Moss, told Rolling Stone that the organization “always has and always will pay for any damage that gets done to the park.”
