Find out what happened in the Ultra Music Festival 2024, held last weekend. Starting from rain to the return of the DJs and spectacular audio-visual experience.
Ultra Music Festival 2024 just took place in Miami and it offers the concertgoers and handful of memorable moments to cherish. This downtown festival was held last weekend, March 22 – 24, and a total of 55,000 ravers joined the party. The catastrophic energy of the music festival was enhanced more with a historic amount of rain and lighting which never happened before in the history of this Miami Music Fest.
Due to the heavy rainfall, the organizers had to call for the first emergency evacuation that happened in the history of Ultra Music. The authority was forced to close gates earlier on Friday night due to the weather and the attendees had to leave just after 9. With the request for rescheduling, the organizers were worried about putting another day for the show.
If the unfortunate weather is considered, this year’s Ultra Music Festival turned out to be the most magical event ever. When the Miami Sky poured down a hefty dose of rain upon Bayfront Park, 55,000 Ultra-goers were raving on rainy Friday night like there was no tomorrow.
The 32-acre arena was just a few feet above sea level and it soon became a muddy pit. However, it could not stop the audience dancing in the rain. As soon as the rain stopped, the Clean-up crew quickly handled the situation and made sure the arena was ready for people to jump. Three cheers to the people who work hard for others’ happiness!
On the other hand, Steve Aoki made some huge buzz with some of the best lineups the fest has ever witnessed. There was West Coast rapper Kalan.FrFr as well as Kiesza performing on stage. Swedish singer Kiddo also joined the stage to perform her hit collaboration with Steve Aoki, called ‘Drive’. Later on, Yellowcard lead singer Ryan Key came on stage to perform a unique rendition of “Ocean Avenue,” a favorite pop-punk song for all.
This year’s Ultra Music offered several guest appearances and performances that the EDM lovers did not even expect. The best of the best DJs could be found in the fest, starting from Hardwell to Armin Van Buuren. Jon Bon Jovi was there too along with a handful of other artists. However, what was most enthralling was the return of Calvin Harris.
Not just audio but this year Ultra Music Miami also offered a spectacular visual experience. Stay tuned and find out more about the festival’s highlights.
