Five times Grammy winner Christina Aguilera has it all planned to storm the stage for the festive season, which seems to be the perfect way to end the year. The super talented singer-songwriter has stacked her releases, and the most recent one is scheduled on 27th December at Zappos Theater Las Vegas. Being renowned for her stunningly powerful voice and several hit songs up her sleeves, the ‘Genie in a Bottle’ girl has been a pop singing sensation for years.
Announced just weeks before the New Year’s Eve, the singer has promised the crowd that they are going to welcome 2020 with full excitement and vigor. Her appearances are scheduled as follows: On 27th, 28th, 30th, and 31st December, 26th, 28th, 29th February 2020, and 4th, 6th, and 7th March 2020 on Zappos Theater Las Vegas.
The news has already excited her fans tremendously and 2020 is indeed going to have a great start.
Singer-songwriter Christina Aguilera rapidly rose to stardom following the release of her hit single ‘Genie in a bottle’ which had rightfully earned her a Grammy award for the best new artist. Since then, the versatile artist has released several hit singles like ‘What a Girl Wants’, ‘Come on Over Baby’, ‘Lady Marmalade’, and ‘All I Wanna Do’.
Back in the year 1993, Aguilera had stirred up national attention when she had gained a spot as a Mouseketeer on The All-New Mickey Mouse Club. She made her appearance along with future stars like Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, Ryan Gosling, and others.
More success followed the determined singer when she moved to Japan and recorded her hit single ‘All I Wanna Do’ along with Japanese pop icon Keizo Nakanishi.
It would come as no surprise that this hit opened her to huge acknowledgment. Born in New York City, Christina, however, did not have a smooth childhood and from a very tender age, she used music as a medium to escape from the household turbulence.
As a child, Aguilera was pulled towards soul and blues records and started practicing to that which earned her the title as the little girl with the big voice in her locality.
She aspired to be a successful singer and after years of practice, she earned her first break, when she was swiftly selected to sing ‘Reflection’ for the animated film Mulan which went on to secure the 15th position on the Billboard Adult Contemporary.
Post the success of ‘Reflection’ it was no looking back for Aguilera and she quickly signed with the label RCA’s A&R Ron Fair. According to David Browne who writes for The New York Times, Christina has a voice that is highly influenced by Carey and Houston.
Although the singer has some time been under speculation for excessive usage of melisma and over singing during her concerts, she is someone who knows her voice really well and tames it accordingly.
During an interview, Christina had revealed that her pop flavor blends pop, R&B, dance-pop, and soul music into her records.
Coming to her love life, the singer has a son Max from her marriage with record producer Jordan Bratman and the couple got divorced in 2011. After that Aguilera announced her engagement with Rutler on Valentine’s Day 2014 and welcomed their daughter Summer Rain.
Christina Aguilera is not only a great singer but also has a compassionate side to her and she feels that fact by working with AIDS awareness campaigns. Moreover, in early 2010 she took on the role of Ambassador against Hunger for the World Food Program and helped several earthquake victims.
With estimated sales of around 75million records, Christina Aguilera is amongst the world’s best selling artists whose songs are always one of the most anticipated ones.
