The highly anticipated Golden Disc Awards has announced its dates for the next ceremony.
On 4th December, Thursday it was declared that the 35th Golden Disc Awards will take place from 9th January to 10th January of 2021. The first day of the ceremony will be dedicated to Digital song Division and the next day will be exclusively on Album Division.
For this year’s nomination, the releases from November 2019 till November 2020 are applicable. The nomination will take place purely based on quantitative measures such as sales around the globe.
The winners of the ceremony will be chosen considering a total score which is an additional score regarding the sales and the Judge Panel. 60% will be considered on sales and the rest 40% depends on the judge’s decision.
The Judge Panel consists of many musical experts from the industry including the ceremony’s executive committee, fifty industry specialists consisting of music distribution representatives, music critics, journalists specializing in music, directors of music programs, and many others.
The panel handles the qualitative measures such as the musical achievements of the release or how much influence it has on the listeners or the society.
Online Voting is not applicable for any main category awards but it will take place for the popularity award.
The 35th Golden Disc Awards will take place on the 9th and 10th of January, 2021 without any audience keeping in mind the parameters of Global Pandemic, and will be broadcasted via JTBC, JTBC2, and JTBC4.
