Grimes has released another enigmatic music video for her new single ‘Shinigami Eyes’.

The music video is directed by Brthr, choreographed by Symone Holliday, and written by Grimes. The video features Jennie Kim, Dorian Electra, and Ryon Wu.

This futuristic music video will appear on Grimes new EP ‘Fairies Cum First’.

This track was originally previewed by the artist last summer in a discord live stream. She shared a short clip of the music to show a glimpse of the project.

As the artist releasing back-to-back hit songs she said that a lot more is coming for her listeners and the next release of her is going to be a double album.

She stated, ‘I made a bunch of stuff and I just want to make a bunch more stuff’. She added more ‘There’s just more kind of sonic, conceptual ideas that I think need to get done to make everything make more sense. And we kind of have two album covers and it seems like a waste to throw on one of them away’.

Along with the audio, the visuals are much more intriguing. The video of the song has been made with a completely different notion. The visualization of the video portrays an anime effect through it. Along with visualizations, the dancers of this video have done an amazing job.

The surreal visualization has added an aesthetic flavour to the song.

Grimes has done an outstanding job with the lyrics. The deep thought of the song has been on the video beautifully. The set-up of a galaxy is bringing out the flavour more.

Along with working on several projects, the artist has announced a 10th-anniversary edition of her album ‘Vision’. The reissue will be sold exclusively through a vinyl subscription service Vinyl Ne. there will be exclusive art print and illustrations of the artist.

In an interview the artist said about the ‘Shinigami Eyes’, ‘I love the record, but it’s just like, everyone’s like, what’s the deeper meaning? And it’s like, well, Nino Angelo just really had just watched Death Note and really liked it. Basically, I wrote the whole space opera thing and this is the only song that wasn’t this big narrative plot’.

After giving such creative and innovative music the artist said that she will be changing her main job after the next record. She had fun making music and got a lot of success from her fans but she is trying to explore new things in the future.
