‘I Made A Mistake’ Udit Narayan Apologize For Making The Makers Of ‘Dekha Tenu’ For 4 Months

The latest release, ‘Dekha Tenu’, from the movie ‘Mr. & Mrs. Mahi’ is causing a big hype amongst its audience and regarding this song news has come out that. ‘Dekha Tenu’ is a new rendition of a 2001 movie, ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’ which has an ensemble cast this particular part was from the song ‘Say Shava Shava’, and this portion was sung by Udit Narayan.

In a recent talk, Udit Narayan confessed, “They were going to make me sing this song, this is true. They approached me and waited for four months as well,” he continued, “I was told the song was being recreated for a Rajkummar Rao film.” But he continued that the person who was communicating with him for this song was unable to clarify everything properly to him in his words, he didn’t provide him with any details for this matter. He also said, “It is my mistake,” that he didn’t take the initiative to clarify things and kept the producers waiting for four months.

He said, “They didn’t tell me it is a Karan Johar film either. I presumed it was a newbie composer who was recreating it and I didn’t pay enough attention. I am being very honest, it is my mistake. There was confusion here and even I didn’t know but I do remember they waited for me; they wanted me to be a part of the song. If I had gotten a clear picture, I wouldn’t have done this.” Then he added, “On one side, I am feeling bad but on the other, I am also happy that a new singer got an opportunity to sing” this beautiful number.

He also mentioned, “I am a workaholic. I thought whatever songs of mine are getting recreated; I would love to sing them myself. And all of them became popular once again. I shouldn’t have missed the opportunity but somehow there was a mistake. But on the bright side, the song that I once sang got recreated and people are loving it. That’s a good sign.” He concluded the interview by saying that he is happy as “people still want to listen to my songs; it is a proud moment for me.”
