The singer and performer will be performing in India for the Dil-Luminati India Tour the price of the tickets is around 20-25k each which is not possible to afford for the young fans. While the tickets are sold out within minutes on Thursday, the high price of the tickets also confirms that it was only meant for upper-class people.

Mumbai-based comedian and social media influencer Saumya Sahni shared a post on Friday and said that Dijit has no right to charge such a huge amount of money from the fans as many of the fans ‘have no money or are unemployed’. She also said that it is unfair to charge this much for an Indian artist, especially when he will be performing in so many cities.

She further added that most of the fans are going through a financial crisis in a country like India with limited sources for jobs and limited means of entertainment that one can afford. She also said how hard it has become for a middle-class person to have access to watch their favorite artist perform live simply because the tickets are too pricey in this economic situation.

She further added the fact that Western music festivals where they arrange a massive line-up with an array of top music artists, charge quite less because they want every kind of music lovers to have access to the festival regardless of what financial class they belong to. While festivals like Lollapalooza charge only $100-$150, how come Diljit Dosanjh has the right to charge so much for his single concert?

She added, ‘ ₹15K for a concert? In this economy???? In this country?” and also captioned the post as “My 2am thoughts are wildly class conscious.” These thoughts are definitely agreeable to most other Indians and the users on Social Media have already voiced against this. Their comments show that Saumya has actually made a fair assessment.

The tour for Dil-Luminati India is supposed to start from October 26 this year and the first show will take place in Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi. The tour will continue through a total of 10 cities in India.
