Ram Singh Bouddh, the ‘Radio Man’ of Amroha, Uttar Pradesh, has recently registered for the Guinness World Records. The Amroha’s ‘Radio Man’ got the chance to hold a Guinness World Record for his 1257 unique radio collections. This incident occurred on 26th September, which has created a sensation among all. It is quite an innovative record, which has surprised all netizens. People from all around the world have been amazed by his work.
On the Guinness World Records website, it is said that ‘The largest collection of radios is 1,257, and was achieved by Ram Singh Bouddh in Gajraula, Uttar Pradesh, India, on February 13, 2024. Ram Singh was inspired to begin his radio collection after listening to the radio show ‘Mann Ki Baat’ hosted by Indian Prime Minister NarendraModi’.
Building such a huge collection of radios is not an easy task. In addition to that, it is his ideas and passion that have amazed everyone. His record was registered, but not updated on the website immediately. However, on 26th September, the record has been finally registered. While talking about this record, Ram Singh Bouddh said ‘On February 18, a team from the Guinness World Records visited Naipura and selected 1,257 radios from a collection of 1,400 radios of different makes. My name was registered in the Guinness World Records on September 26 and the certificate was uploaded on its website the following day’.
This initiative of Ram has led him to get much appreciation from all. He has even added that a total of 137 radios have been given to the AkashvaniBhavan as gifts. The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath has appreciated the work of Ram on social media platforms. The CM has also said that his collection would be useful for the coming generations to understand the vintage communication tools.
As of now, it is coming to Ram has also given a handwritten application that says his desire to build a radio museum in Amroha. His collection includes 1920 US Army Radio that costs nearly Rs 20,000. Along with radios, he also has gramophones, 12 pocket TVs, 400-year-oldhandwritten Bhagavad Gita, 250 British postage, stamps, antique watches, calculators, and more.
