Saregama has been trying to break the stereotype by investing in film and non-film music for quite some time. The company has recently taken a step towards a new forte into the music industry. As one of India’s oldest record labels, Saregama has a massive follower base that expects to see new types of music in 2022. The label has already entered the new music scene with the album of the latest blockbuster, ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The company has also created a partner program that allows all musicians to do covers, remakes, and recreations of the songs in its catalog in all languages.
Saregama has now signed a deal with famous Indian musician Adnan Sami. In the exclusive deal, Adnan Sami will partner with Saregama for a whole year for their new music concept. Adnan Sami has ruled over the Hindi music industry for more than 12 years and he is mostly known for his incredibly hit singles such as ‘Tera Chehra’, ‘Lift Karadey’, ‘Teri Yaad’, ‘Bhar Do Jholi Meri’, and more. Now he will sing many upcoming Hindi singles partnering up with Saregama.
Saregama has been making efforts to regain its lost glory with fresh new music produced by the greatest musicians of all times. The collaboration with Adnan Sami takes them one step closer to their goals. Aiming to establish the best music portfolio in India, the partnership with Adnan will give the label a great push.
This is their first-ever partnership between the musicians and the label. Adnan wishes to make independent Hindi music adding to his collection of incredible albums and singles.
The Padma Shri winning singer is extremely ecstatic about the collaboration. He said, ‘I am very excited about this collaboration with Saregama and I have been waiting to start working on the songs. I know these songs in the upcoming months will be well received by my fans & the audiences.’ This indicates that he has already produced a wide range of new songs in his collection.
