Kim Ji-soo aka the sensational member of the global hit K-pop group BLACKPINK is fulfilling her promise to use her influence for good in society. She has now contributed her entire earnings from the singer’s solo channel on YouTube. Even since her solo channel was launched on YouTube, the star promised to donate the proceedings to charity, making a positive impact on society. It first came to the biggest video streaming platform in January 2023, and since then the YouTube channel has hit a record of 4.99 million subscribers. Now the singer has taken a decision that all the proceeds from this channel will be donated to support the children’s mangrove project. The donation is aimed at the restoration of mangrove forests in the Ca Mau province of Vietnam.
Jisso’s YouTube channel was launched on the singer’s 28th birthday, January 3rd of 2023. Since then she said that she will be using the earnings from this account to make a positive change in society and use her influence on the world for good. On March 12th, 2024, she announced that she had chosen the charity that she would be supporting with her YouTube proceedings. It was the same day when she announced that the charity would be Save the Children. It is a UK-based international NGO that works towards improving the lives of underprivileged children around the world. The funds that are generated by Jisoo’s YouTube channel will be donated to support the mangrove project of the charity. This project aims to restore the mangrove forest around the Ca Mau province in Vietnam.
In February 2024, the A-list K-pop singer also launched the new official portal of her own agency, BLISSOO. The website’s mission states, “BLISSOO is JISOO’s new label, a combination of BLISS, symbolizing complete happiness, and JISOO, an artist whose charm unfolds like a precious gift. Transcending the boundaries of genres and fields, our mission is to share the happiness that JISOO creates in her own unique way.” The label also has an official Instagram account with a massive 1.1 Million followers. Followers of the artist will also find the official label on YouTube and X (formerly Twitter).
Jisoo has recently made a debut as the global brand ambassador of the luxury house, Dior at the Paris Fashion Week 2024. She is also set to make her acting comeback in the Zombie drama series Influenza alongside Park Jeong Min, Kim Joon Han, Kim Chan Hyung, and Lee HakJoo.
