The aftermath of parting her way with her former producer Dr. Luke’s recording company Kemosabe Records has agreed with Kesha. This record is distributed by RCS Records and the deal between the singer and the recording company ended last week. The last album she released, “Gag Order,” was the final contractual release with the record company, released in May. In a statement, her long-time manager confirmed on Tuesday that the singer has also parted ways with the company: “Jack Rovner confirms, after 16 years, Kesha and Vector Management have agreed amicably to part ways, with much love and respect.”
Right after this statement was released she responded, “My manager has been an unwavering supporter of helping me get through the lengthy legal battle I have been embroiled in for almost a decade. We have achieved many great successes and have shared a magnificent part of my life with me. I am so grateful to them and always will be. In need of a fresh start in my life, we have parted ways but I will remain forever grateful for the run we had.”
The legal battle between her and her producing company was nothing that started lately, it has been a part of her career for over a decade. Once she is “free” from this strenuous journey she is seen chilling at the beach, as per her TikTok uploads. “I haven’t felt this free since I was 18,” she wrote in a text-over clip. In that clip, first, she sets up her camera before turning around and running towards the waves at the beach. Dr. Luke also released a statement stating, that he “wish(es) Kesha well” for her upcoming endeavors, whereas, Kesha wishes “nothing but peace to all parties involved”.
