Pop queen Kesha said that she is feeling a lot of “happiness” and “gratitude” after the release of “Joyride.” This music project is going to be her first single as an independent solo venture after parting ways with Dr. Luke and his record label Kemosabe Records and RCA.

The ‘Tik Tok’ singer has opened up about how relieved she feels in an interview with Forbes. The 37-year-old dynamic singer-songwriter has also revealed that she “Feels Free” not only for Joyride but for settling the case with Dr. Luke, the founder of Kemosabe Records.

Kesha has previously accused Luke of a case of abuse that includes physical, sexual, and emotional abuse. It was in 2014 and a decade has passed. Luke had denied all the claims and charged the artist for defamation. The case was settled around in court last year and Kesha never felt this free before. She said, “I feel free for the first time since I was 18 years old.”

The singer also added, “I so appreciate every single person that has streamed ‘Joyride,’ and I love the videos that are being made.” Talking about the legal issue, she said, “I’ve spent almost 10 years in litigation and millions of dollars in legal fees. This joy has been hard-fought for me, so I love that people are ready to ‘Joyride’ with me.”

The latest music project ‘Joyride’ has been released under Kesha’s own label which will be empowering other artists as well. She hopes, it will be “a safe space for artists because creation and fear cannot co-exist,” and further said, “When you’re in a state of fear, you cannot create, and I know this from personal experience.”

Not only opening her own label but Kesha also has an array of goals to achieve in the coming days. She is quite concerned about the protected rights of an artist’s recorded voice and wants to improve the litigation around it. She said, “It’s wild that a human being can lose the rights to their recorded voice in perpetuity in the universe.”

Talking about goals, she said that she is “looking into the tech space and I’m looking to find partners who have the values that I align with,” and further added, I’m also looking to the future and I’m looking for some really creative, boundary-pushing, innovative tech creators that want to change how the music business works and bring a new level of transparency to the whole business.”

Surely the queen is back with a bang!
