The singer and songwriter shared a shout-out for her boyfriend and dad who attended the finale and did not forget to praise her Jazz mentor Tony Bennett. Gaga made a mischief by saying “I can’t believe this is the last time we are going to do this. No, it’s not, we’ll do it again …”. However, the emotional value of the farewell was vivid and it brought tears to many eyes.

The run of Jazz & Piano started on June 19 and Lady Gaga made sure to gather a lot of attention. She interacted with the audience and said, “… when we come back, we hope you’ll come back, we’ll have a brand-new show for you.” At another time, she confirmed it would be “pop.”

The residency makes a unique attempt that no other artist has done before in Las Vegas. There are two shows by Gaga in the residency namely, Enigma which is a section for progressive pop that opened in December back in 2018. Later on, Jazz & Piano was established within a month in January 2019. Creating dual residencies with different types of musical styles is truly a daring move that has been done by no artist before.

Jazz & Piano has taken a significant amount of references from the Great American Songbook. The platform also provides many jazz arrangements for Gaga’s hit tracks like, “Born This Way,” “Paparazzi,” and “Bad Romance.” The different versions of the tracks are quite captivating and quite different from the typical high-octane taste of pop.

Lady Gaga has previously worked with Tony Bennett on many music projects their collaborative album released are the greatest examples of that. ‘Cheek to Cheek’ came out in 2014 and created a huge buzz among the audiences. Later on, ‘ Love for Sale’ was released in 2021 and showcased her skills as a songwriter.

Talking about Tony, Gaga said, “You know this guy right here: When everyone was calling me a tramp, he was calling me a lady. We love you, Tony.” The final run of Jazz & Piano was a roller-coaster of emotions and Gaga said, “This is the last show of this residency in Las Vegas, which means tonight we will make you sick. You will be so sick, but the best is yet to come.” It was definitely a sick and heart-wrenching show that made audiences emotional.
