(DailyMusicRoll Editorial):- Brookhaven, New York Jun 15, 2023 (Issuewire.com) – kallyba, formally known as Peter Smith, is an international recording artist born on March 12, 1986, to parents Maxine Steele and Ian Smith, at the St. Ann’s Bay Hospital, Jamaica, West Indies. Kallyba is the second oldest of five siblings, twin to sister Sanita (Queen Sosa), brothers Ian Jr., Moses (King Moses), and Gavin. He is the father of three children: a daughter, Sorayah, and two sons, Jahair and Elijah.
Kallyba lived in Steer Town, St. Ann, the Parish from which his mother hails, for the first two years of his life. Then he resided in the hills of Halls Delight, St. Andrew, his fathers’ birth Parish, for another nine years, then in Ocho Rios, St. Ann, for two years before migrating to the USA.
Kallyba’s formal education began at the Mona Common Basic School, which he attended for three years. He then moved on to the Hope Valley Experimental School, where he spent another six years. He was successful in the Common Entrance Examination and was awarded a place at Papine High School. His tenure at Papine High School, however, was short-lived due to unforeseen circumstances which led to the relocation of him and his siblings. Returning to Ocho Rios, Kallyba continued his Secondary education at the Ocho Rios High School. Here, he spent another two years before migrating to the USA in December 1999 at the age of 13.
Kallyba, along with his siblings, left the shores of his island home, Sweet Jamaica, for the great USA to reside with his family in Brooklyn, New York. In the US is where Kallybas’ career took off. He had his first show and began his musical career in his teenage years and has always had a passion for music. He is known across all social media platforms as “Kallybamusic.” Many of his songs have a dancehall/reggae influence and even hints of hip-hop. With 20-plus years of experience in the music industry, he has done shows in Jamaica, New York, and the United Kingdom promoting not only his music but also introducing other family members and colleagues to the stage, locally and internationally.
