The pop singer Miley Cyrus recently said that the 2014 Bangerz Tour ‘was an investment in myself’. On this tour, she didn’t make any money because she wanted the tour just the way she imagined. In recent days, she admitted that she ‘didn’t make a dime on this tour because I wanted the tour to be excellent.’
It was really hard to convince people what vision she had regarding the tour. And most of the people didn’t even understand what she was planning for her fans. The artist later admitted that ‘A lot of these ideas were kind of so outlandish that no one really wanted to support me in making these pieces, so I had big puppets, oversized beds, I came out of my own face on my tongue’.
Later, she also stated that she received questions like ‘Why are you doing this? You’re going to do like 100 shows and not going to make any money….There’s no one I would rather invest in than myself. So I paid for it all to make it exactly what I thought I and the fans deserved’. The ‘Flowers’ singer didn’t think about the money but her only concern was to create a magnificent show, which will be an investment for her future.
Miley has said that she had a conversation with the creative director Diane Martel regarding the tour. She has also shared the discussion and said ‘[Martel] goes, ‘How would you want to end this concert?’ Like, ‘The show is so big, how do you want to end it?’ and I wanted to end it in a Truman Show reference’. She also continued by saying ‘So I flew out on a giant hot dog, obviously, and I left through all the clouds and the exit sign, the way Jim Carrey does, because I felt like The Truman Show was really a reflection of my life’.
The singer did a total of 78 shows in the period of nine months. The Bangerz Tour was her fourth concert tour for the album ‘Bangerz’. This particular tour is now one of the most famous tours in her singing career. Her phenomenal presentation generated a sensation among every fan of hers.
