Shortly around midnight, specifically at exactly 12:37 AM in Sag Harbour, New York, ‘Friends with Benefits’ actor Justin Timberlake was arrested on the charge of DWI. The singer was arrested on the charge of one count of driving while intoxicated and two counts of traffic violation which included a failure to stop at a stop sign and failure to keep the car driving in the right lane. He was seen driving a 2025 grey BMW XM on Madison Street. Justin was released without bail on Tuesday morning and was seen getting out of the police station in a black hat, a black shirt over a grey graphic tee shirt, a light-wash pair of jeans, a pair of white Nike Air Force 1 sneakers along with sunglasses and his Hampton attorney Edward Burke Jr. Even though his next court date is set to be on 26th July, it is heard that the singer will not be attending the hearing procedure.
It is said that the ‘Sexy Back’ singer was pulled over after a night out with friends on Monday night at the historically famous American Hotel in Sag Harbour where “there were cops stationed outside”. An insider’s source has said that the arresting officer was so young that he could not recognize the iconic personality, neither from his name nor from his face. Although the singer has claimed to have consumed only one martini at the luxurious Long Island hotel before leaving for home, the police noticed he had “bloodshot and glassy eyes” along with “a strong odour of an alcoholic beverage” on his breath during the investigation. From another insider, it has been known that Justin never showed any sense of entitlement; he was a gentleman all along but he refused to take the breathalyzer test which was within his rights.
Violations related to alcohol and drug use in New York include DWI (driving while intoxicated), which meant that the offender had a blood alcohol content (BAC) of .08 or higher. The sensational Grammy Award-winning singer is in the middle of his ‘Forget Tomorrow World Tour’ in support of his sixth studio album ‘Everything I Thought It Was’, which was released in March of 2024. He also has two concerts scheduled for this Friday and Saturday at the United Centre in Chicago followed by shows next Tuesday and Wednesday at Madison Garden in New York City. After the arrest, the singer was seen worried about his world tour as he had expressed under his breath “this will ruin the tour”. The singer is known to have a serious drinking problem but has not yet released any comments regarding the incident on social media. However, a mugshot of the singer was released which has gone viral on social media platforms.
