The music composer of HBO’s hit drama Euphoria, Labrinth has come up with his latest track ‘Ave Maria’, the catholic prayer by the legendary Franz Schubert.
Labrinth is a multi-talented singer, songwriter, music composer, and producer as well. He has garnered a lot of attention with his work on the teen drama series ‘Euphoria’ and was nominated for Emmy Awards for outstanding music and lyrics of the track ‘All for Us’.
The track appears on the album ‘Imagination & The Misfit Kid’ along with other tracks like ‘Miracle’, ‘Mount Everest’, etc to name some.
Featuring with uber-talented Zendaya his score has also got an Ivor Novello nomination for “Best Television Soundtrack”. The soundtrack generated over 238 million streams worldwide.
As a solo artist, he has proved his musical skills with the track ‘Jealous’ which garnered around 380 million streams. The artist has collaborated with many other artists like Eminem, The Weeknd, Ed Sheeran, Nicky Minaj, and Kanye West for the album, title ‘Jesus is King’.
The latest single ‘Ave Maria’ showcases his vocal skills where he has sung the Latin version of the catholic prayer.
‘Ave Maria’ is a Latin phrase which means ‘Hail Mary’. The original song or the prayer was composed in the earlier phase of the 19th century and later on, many versions came along with many artist covers.
Labrinth has also collaborated with Beyonce for the track ‘Spirit’ from the 2019 Disney’s live-action ‘The Lion King’. He has co-written and co-produced the song and it was nominated in Grammy and Golden Globe Awards.
