Harry Style’s all-new music album “Harry’s House” has become the fastest-selling album to date. The artist has topped the charts in the United Kingdom.
Now, it’s official: Harry Styles is the king of charts in the United Kingdom.
Harry’s House (via Columbia) debuts at No. 1 on the national albums list, while three singles from the album domi8nate the Official Singles Chart.
According to the OCC, Harry’s House is 2022’s fastest-selling record to date, with over 113,000 chart sales in its first week. That figure dwarfs the achievements of his previous two albums. Harry Styles debuted in 2017 with just under 57,000 first-week total sales, while Fine Line debuted with 49,000.
With “As It Was,” Styles extends his reign on the official U.K. singles chart for an eighth week in a row, with 80,000 chart sales in the most recent cycle.
“As It Was” continues to be the most-streamed in the United Kingdom, with more than 8.9 million plays in its highest seven-day performance since its debut.
“As It Was” surpasses “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” from Disney’s Encanto as the year’s longest-running No. 1 song, with a two-month unbroken stay at the top.
There’s more to the Styles effect. “Late Night Talking” and “Music For A Sushi Restaurant” by Harry’s House debut at No. 2 and No. 3 respectively, while Fine Line returns to the Top 10 standing at No. 8, and his self-titled LP stands at No. 29 in the chart of the Top 40.
In other UK chart news, Manchester Indie rock band Everything Everything set a new career-high with Raw Data Feel (Everything Everything), which debuted at No. 4 on the albums chart, while M Huncho’s debut studio LP Chasing Euphoria debuts at No. 5 (Island).
With “1989” (Capitol), which samples “Fool’s Gold,” a legendary 1989 record by fellow Mancunian act The Stone Roses, English rapper Aitch makes his Top 40 debut on the national singles chart. No. 23 is a brand-new entry.
Finally, N-Dubz return to the list after a ten-year absence. The British hip-hop act’s comeback single “Charmer” (Xploded Music) debuts at No. 32, giving them their 13th Top 40 hit and their first since 2011, as their Greatest Hits collection from the same year climbs 38-10 on the albums chart.
