Michael Gudinski was a well-known music entrepreneur and was the founder and the late chairman of Mushroom Group of Companies.
On Monday, 1st March, Gudinski passed away at the age of 68 as he was paid tribute by Paul McCartney, Foo Fighters, and Ed Sheeran. He had a strong personality who is remembered as a towering figure and a trailblazer in the music industry of Australia.
The news of his demise broke out on Tuesday morning according to local time and politicians, executives, and artists from abroad and all over Australia turned to social media and paid him the tribute.
Kylie Minogue was an inductee of the ARIA Hall of Fame and also worked with ‘The Big G’ from the very start. She took to social media and said that he was a very big name in the music industry. He was a one-of-a-kind person and was like a family to Kylie. She also added that she is heartbroken and she cannot believe the fact that she is gone. She also mentioned that he is unforgettable and irreplaceable and will continue to love ‘The Big G’.
Anthony Albanese, the leader of the Australian Labor Party has written that he is saddened and shocked to hear the death news of Michael Gudinski. They were both presents in Sydney at the Oils gig on Thursday.
Tony Burke, MP, and colleague of Albanese also expressed his grief about the death of the formidable figure in Australian music history.
Gudinski was born in 1952 to Jewish Russian immigrants and his Mushroom Group had more than 20 affiliated businesses.
