But the words were written roughly two years ago, during a devastating period in Jones’ life. Deaths of friends, failed relationships, and business collapse threatened to drag her under. But she clung to the promise that her Father, the Most High God, would carry her through.

“I didn’t think I was going to make it out of there,” she said. “It shifted because He is faithful.

Listening to the verses now, Jones is struck by their relevance, given the current state of global conflicts juxtaposed with the release date, Hebrew Passover, and its commemoration of the Resurrection. She sees how God has worked things for good in her life, and encourages those who are suffering to remember that their pain won’t last forever, either.
