OneRepublic, Alessia Cara will perform at Avril Lavigne Livestream Benefit

Pop singer Avril Lavigne launches Lyme disease Livestream benefit concert and she includes dazzling performances by various iconic pop musicians. OneRepublic, Alessia Cara will be joining the Livestream with other artists to cheer for the better days. It will go live on October 24th at 8 p.m. ET, will benefit the Avril Lavigne Foundation and Global Lyme Alliance.

Rob Thomas and host Wilmer Valderrama are ready to take part in #FightLyme With Avril + Friends. It is arranged to increase awareness and funds for those affected by Lyme. Tickets, merch bundles, and VIP soundcheck passes are available online, one should buy them now.

Only the ticket buyers will have the access to the show as they will be given a unique passcode. Viewers can replay the Livestream for the next 48 hours on-demand.

Avril Lavigne was diagnosed with the same disease in 2015. She revealed that she was infected by a tick bite the previous spring. She opened up publically about her Lyme diagnosis and took to Instagram to say, “For the better part of two years, I was really sick and fighting for my life.” She made the post in January 2020 after her recovery.

She described why the Livestream benefit concert is so important. one hundred percent of proceeds from the event will benefit the Foundation and Alliance.

Also, it is going to be her first performance in 2020.

The Avril Lavigne Foundation helps people who are suffering from Lyme, serious illnesses, or disabilities — offering prevention resources, funding treatment grants, and advancing scientific research.

Global Lyme Alliance funds research, arranges awareness programs, and aids patients and caregivers.

 Avril’s last album Head Above Water was released in 2019. It was the sixth album and she did not record anything yet in 2020. She joined the league of robust Canadian pop stars like Justin Bieber and Rush’s Geddy Lee to cover Bill Withers’ “Lean on Me” during a charitable TV special and Livestream in April for a notable cause.

OneRepublic produced some tenacious hits in 2020 like “Better Days,” “Didn’t I,” “Wanted” and “Rescue Me” from their upcoming fifth album, Human. Alessia Cara is still rattling the charts with her This Summer EP in 2019.
