Pop artist Miley Cyrus’ ‘Plastic Hearts’ has reached 1 billion streams on Spotify. It has been only four months since the release of her seventh studio album. The news was published recently that her album reached 1 billion streams on Spotify. The feat also puts the artist in one of the three record-breaking spots alongside Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift. They are the only female artists to have reached the 1 billion Spotify stream attribute in the past three decades.
Cyrus came out with the album Bangerz back in 2013 which had hits like ‘Wrecking Ball’, ‘We Can’t Stop’, ‘Wrecking Ball’, Adore You’ among others. The album crossed 1.4 billion streams in September 2019 and reached 1.5 billion streams in April 2020. The songs ‘We Can’t Stop’ and ‘Wrecking Ball’ alone have accumulated 586 million and 509 million streams on Spotify respectively.
Apart from the many hits that Miley has had over the years, Plastic Hearts became the fastest to have reached such a level of accomplishment, and that too within just 4 months. The album had hits like ‘Midnight Sky’ and ‘Prisoner’.
