Alan Jackson announces the release date of his upcoming album ‘Where have You Gone’

Alan Jackson has finally shed some light upon his highly-anticipated upcoming album ‘Where have You Gone’. It is his first album after six longs years and the listeners have been eagerly waiting.

This unwavering artist took social media to announce the release of his latest album.

Jackson shared a post over Instagram announcing the release date along with a monochromatic album cover. It is has been declared that the album will be releasing on May 14th and it is already available for pre-order.

Some of the tracks from the album, like the title track ‘Things That Matter’, ‘Way Down In My Whiskey’, etc are already being streamed over all the major music platforms.

The track ‘Way Down In My Whiskey’ is more like a remedy track to get over past and ex with the intoxication of liquor and music. On the other hand, ‘Things That Matter’ is more like an interrogation of things in life that make us happy.

The upcoming album ‘Where have You Gone’ laments for country music as this album is the first musical album work with an original context in the last six years.

Jackson has been a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame and thus the anticipation got ever higher.

He sings, “It’s been way too long since you slipped away/I just can’t forget, I can’t pretend it’s OK,” bringing back the memories and nostalgia.

It is also evident that not only the listeners but the artist missed his music too as he sings, “Soft steel guitar, oh how I’ve missed you/words from the heart, let me hear you again.”

The album consists of 21 songs and Jackson wrote 15 of them. Hailey Whitters, Scotty Emerick, and Daniel Tashian have helped him as co-writers.

The track ‘That’s the Way Love Goes’ is covered in the memory of Merle Haggard.
