The famous American Hip-hop rap artist 2 Chainz is releasing his next album on the 4th of February, 2022. ‘Dope Don’t Sell Itself’ is his seventh studio album. Just like his prior albums, this album will also be released under Def Jam label, a Universal Music Group-owned record company.
This album is going to be released on various major music streaming platforms along with the download facilities. And also he released a smashing sizzling single ‘Pop Music’ on YouTube. This song featured Moneybagb Yo and Beatking, by releasing this song also raised some interest with its quirky lines.
His last album ‘So Help Me God!’ was released on 13th November 2020. And since then he has released several singles including his extremely popular track ‘Million Dollar Worth of Game’ featuring Dugg along with various audio tracks.
Tauheed K. Epps mostly known as 2 Chainz, was born in College Park, Georgia. When he was in college he played for the college basketball team and he was from 1995 to 1997.
In 1997 he paired up with Dolla Boy and form ‘Playaz Circle’, and they signed up with Def Jam Recording Label. They started performing in places including radio stations. They have also started recording their music and included several musicians to perform along with them.
Shortly after, the song ‘Big Dawg’ featuring Lil Wayne and Birdman was filmed, Epps left to the group to pursue his individual music career. In 2012 his first solo album ‘Based on a T.R.U Story’ was released. And this album helped him to hold a rank on the Billboard. The lead single of this mixtape featured Drake.
The artist won a Grammy for best rap performance for ‘No Problem’ collaborated with Chance the Rapper and Lil Wayne in 2017.
He has a line of hoodies, and also a sweater line called ‘Dabbing Sweaters’.
His success and uprising are very inspiring to watch. From a person who sold marijuana on the streets, he made his journey of being a successful basketball player to an extremely talented and entertaining hip-hop artist of this age.
His audience has been waiting for his next album release for a while now. And he announces it with a well-formed exciting single ‘Pop Music’.
