BLACKPINK’s Jennie made an appearance earlier this week at the Chanel Spring 2025 show at Paris Fashion Week. While being 6there serving looks and high fashion, the singer spoke to Vogue about her forthcoming single ‘Mantra’. She previously announced that her new single will be released next week, on October 11. This song will notably be her first solo release, which will be coming out under her new label, Odd Atelier, founded by Jennie herself. She founded this label in partnership with Columbia Records.

“It’s something my fans and I have really been looking forward to,” she said. “I’ll be focusing on creating opportunities for us to connect and communicate, allowing us to share special experiences together and interact with fans from all over the world.” The K-Pop star also talked to Vogue about the message behind ‘Mantra’, describing the single as “a fun, upbeat anthem that celebrates girl power and inspires every woman to shine in her own way with confidence”. In another interview with WWD, Jennie shared that this new single inspired her bloated hair, which she so elegantly flaunted at Fashion Week. “I can’t share too much just yet, but maybe this new look can do [sic] a little bit of a teaser,” said the BLACKPINK star.

Previously, the singer shared a teaser for her upcoming single ‘Mantra’, giving her fans a sneak peek into what they can expect from the artist. “It’s not that deep/I’m not that drunk/Sometimes girls just gotta have fun,” she sings in the video clip. It sees the songstress biting into a cherry before she winks for the camera. “Throw it back, all that ass/Me and my sis, we’re too attached,” she continues. “It’s not that deep, we’re not that dumb/Look at them bodies on the run//Inside glowing like the sun.” The song then dramatically pauses as the artist declares “You’re gonna feel this every day,” before showing off a flirty smile to the camera.

The new single, ‘Mantra’, coming out on October 11th, comes about 10 months after the BLACKPINK star announced that she is going on her “solo journey”. She founded Odd Atelier, which “aims to create new things that attract attention in a different way from what is usual or expected.” ‘Mantra’ will be a follow-up of her previous solo single “You & Me,” dropped on October last year. However, the artist did not completely withdraw herself from releasing new projects. Earlier this year, she joined Matt Champion on “Slow Motion” and Zico on the single “Spot!” The K-pop singer also released a collaboration for The Idol, titled “One of the Girls,” with Lily-Rose Depp and The Weeknd in 2023.

For her BLACKPINK sisters, Lisa released a new collaboration with Rosalía, ‘New Woman’. She also released a new single ‘Rockstar’ earlier this summer. Rosé signed a global solo deal with Atlantic Records earlier this week, and Jisoo finished filming two Korean films over the summer!
