The rapper announces his upcoming new single ‘Houdini’ with the help of magician David Blaine. The song from his upcoming studio album will arrive on 31st May 2024.
And for the next act, Eminem presents his new single! The rapper posted a joint Instagram video with magician David Blaine on May 28, Tuesday, to announce the details, name, and the release date of his upcoming new single. ‘Houdini’ will be arriving on March 31st, Friday. The rapper got the magician on board to make a surprise little video where he rings up Blaine on FaceTime to ask for his help. “Yo, listen, I need your help with something,” the ‘Mockingbird’ rapper says. “Yeah, whatever you need,” Blaine replies. “Well first of all, I just want you to know you’re the greatest to ever do it,” Eminem says, to which the magician responds: “We should do something together one time.”
“What I was wondering is, how far can we go with this magic? Can we do a stunt or something?” Eminem asks. The world-renowned magician then grabs a full glass of red wine from the nearest cafe and proceeds to drink the wine before biting into the glass itself! This elicited gasps from the people around as the glass shattered into his mouth. “Well for my last trick,” the rapper says in response, “I’m gonna make my career disappear.” “Wait, what?” Blaine says with shards of glass still in his mouth before the screen goes black. The viewers then see the message “‘Houdini’ 5.31.24” on the black screen.

The song ‘Houdini’ will be the lead single from the ‘Rap God‘ rapper’s already-announced album. ‘The Death of Slim Shady‘ will be his 11th studio album which will be released after four long years. This album will be following ‘Music to Be Murdered By‘, Eminem’s last album, also his 10th studio album which was released in 2020. The eminent rapper’s last album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, with a hit single. The most impressive track from the album was ‘Godzilla‘ featuring the beloved dead rapper, Juice Wrld, which peaked at number 3 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Eminem released a trailer on social media on April 25th, announcing his 11th studio album. The clip showed a crime reporter discussing the death of Slim Shady, the rapper’s alter ego. “Through his complex and oft-criticized, tongue-twisting rhymes, the anti-hero known as Slim Shady has had no shortage of enemies,” he says in the clip. After some time, Eminem made an appearance in the clip, stating, “I knew it was only a matter of time for Slim.”
Notably, this is the second major single named ‘Hourdini’ to be released. In the past year, DuaLipa also paid tribute to the magician with her single of the same title.
