After much anticipation from the singer’s side and the fan’s side, the iconic Halsey is finally releasing her 5th studio album ‘The Great Impersonator’ in October.
Last week, after revealing the title of the album, Halsey, the 29-year-old pop icon has unveiled the artwork of the album and announced the release date of the album ‘The Great Impersonator’ which is set to be on 25th October, this year. Through a post of X (formerly known as Twitter), the singer shared this amazing news to her/their fans while captioning the post as ‘My 5th studio album ‘The Great Impersonator’ coming October 25th’. The artwork showcased a very close-up picture of Halsey where she is wide-eyed and there is little color to the image besides her rosy cheeks. For a long time, this singer has been suffering from severe health issues and this album is acting like a blessing for all the fans from across the globe who prayed for the pop icon’s steady recovery.
The album is available for pre-order as stated by the singer in her post. Along with this she also said, ‘I made this record in the space between life and death. And it feels like I’ve waited an eternity for you to have it,” she added. ‘I’ll wait a bit longer. I’ve waited a decade, already.’ Halsey also added that the 5th album was created ‘in the space of life and death.’ Prior to this, the singer, in a trailer of the LP had explained that ‘When you get sick like that, you start thinking about ways it could have all been different… What if I debuted in the early 2000s, the ’90s, the ’80s, the ’70s… am I still Halsey every time, in every timeline?’ She added, ‘I spent half my life being someone else, I never stopped to ask myself: if it all ended right now, is this the person you’d be proud to leave behind? Is it even you?’

Through this album, the pop singer has attempted to travel through time with the use of sound and music. On August 27th the pop singer had released the trailer for her ‘confessional concept album’, a nearly 90-second clip that explores the perspectives of her music if it was released in the 2000s, Nineties, Eighties, or Seventies, where she said, ‘I really thought this album might be the last one I ever made. When you get sick like that, you start thinking about ways it could’ve all been different,’ at the start of the video. ‘What if this isn’t how it all went down? 18-year-old Ashley becomes Halsey in 2014.’
