American singer and songwriter John Mayer’s eight-studio album is making some huge buzz as the release date is declared already.
The artist’s highly anticipated album will be releasing on 16th July under Columbia Records. It was initially announced to release in mid of April but later changed to July.
On 4th June, the artist has released the lead single ‘Last Train Home’ and made his fans and followers go crazy. Complemented by the guest vocals of Maren Moris, it has reached even new heights.
Mayer is all set to promote his album in the coming tour of the US with Dead & Company from August to October 2021.
The album is bringing back nostalgia by featuring three singles from 2018 and 2019. The 2019 songs from this album ‘I Guess I Just Feel Like’ and ‘Carry Me Away’ are gaining much attention along with 2018’s ‘New Light’.
The album includes a big chunk of the artist’s musical journey as it was recorded from 2017 to 2021, nearly five years. Some of the clips were posted on Mayer’s TikTok account.
There are a total of 10 tracks in the album and Mayer has written all of them. Only ‘New Light’ is co-written by Ernest Wilson along with John.
The lead single ‘Last Train Home’ is accompanied by an official music video as well and garnered much love from the viewers.
The other tracks are ‘Shouldn’t Matter but It Does’, ‘Why You No Love Me’, ‘Wild Blue’, ‘Shot in the Dark’, ‘Til the Right One Comes’, and ‘All I Want Is to Be with You’. These are the newest additions to Mayer’s musical arsenal.
The albums provide a mixed taste of nostalgia and refreshment and the listeners are eagerly waiting for that.
Mayer’s last album was ‘The Search for Everything’ which was released in 2017. It hit number no.2 on the Billboard 200 chart and was on the greatest hit of Mayer’s musical journey.
The album included tracks likes, ‘Love on the Weekend’, ‘Still Feel Like Your Man’, ‘In the Blood’, etc to name.
