It might be just the start of fall, but Kelly Clarkson is already in the mood to celebrate the holidays! This year, the holidays are coming early because Kelly has a new single for her fans. The 42-year-old daytime TV host and singer revealed that the singer has a new song coming out soon, celebrating the holidays a little early this year. The new single is called ‘You For Christmas’ by Kelly Clarkson is coming out on Friday, September 27th. “Christmas in September? 👀 …..okay🎅🏼 My new holiday single “You For Christmas” is out this Friday, September 27! Thank you @MarkRonson and @Wyattish for such an incredible collab! I can’t wait for y’all to hear it,” the singer announced on her social media platforms.
Whenever Kelly Clarkson covers a song, you can rest assured that the song is hers now. Because most of the time whenever Kelly covers a song, she performs it far better than the original, adding her own unique musical prowess. This has happened so many times that now this has become a joke on the internet that a “Kellyoke” performance of their song will be better than the originals. But now with the announcement of the upcoming single, it looks like Kelly is coming for Mariah Carey and her undefeated reign over the holidays, or at least fans think so.
As the ‘Because of You’ singer announced that she has a new holiday song coming out later in the week, fans took to social media to discuss how Kelly is now coming for our very own Winter Queen. Clarkson first released a Christmas album in 2013, ‘Wrapped in Red’ and now she is coming back for the holidays again. In her social media announcement, she said that this is a collaboration with Mark Ronson, the music producer, and songwriter who is behind several hits like Bruno Mars’ ‘Uptown Funk’ and his Barbie soundtrack partner Andrew Wyatt.
On Instagram, one fan wrote in the comment section of the announcement post, “Stop it Kelly.
