The frontwoman of the globally recognized band ‘The Breeders’ is set to release her solo album ‘Nobody Loves You More’ with the eccentric new single ‘Crystal Breath’. The album is set to be released on November 22nd via 4AD and it marks the first full-length release under her name. The rhythm guitarist and lead vocals of the rock band ‘The Breeders’ Kim Deal hailing from Dayton, Ohio along with her twin sister Kelley has become a global icon in the alternative rock music genre. They gained their fame mostly because of their song ‘Cannonball’ which was their biggest commercial hit and was named the best single of 1993. Even though the band broke up at its peak but Kim Deal is focused on making a comeback with her new studio album.

The band was and still is a huge inspiration to new age musicians like Olivia Rodrigo and this craze and fandom is anticipated to come back once again with the new single ‘Crystal Breath’. The eerie and mystifying soundscore that pushed the traditional and conservative boundary is set to come back in November of this year holding hands with Kim Deal and her album ‘Nobody Loves You More’. The band was so popular back in the days that they had opened for legendary bands like Nirvana on their 1992 European tour. The first album of ‘The Breeders’ might not have been a commercial hit but it had gotten praise from legendary musician Kurt Cobain saying that ‘Pod’ the debut album of the band was one of his all-time favorite albums.

‘Crystal Breath’ is the second single from the album following ‘Coast’ which was recorded with engineer Steve Albini at Electrical Audio in Chicago in November 2022. Other collaborators on the LP included Breeders bandmates Kelley Deal and Jim Macpherson, former bandmates Mando Lopez and Britt Walford, guitarist Josh Klinghoffer, mixing engineer Marta Salogni, and mastering engineer Heba Kadry. Originally Kim had written and recorded two of her oldest songs for the new album which are ‘Are You Mine?’ and ‘Wish I Was’ in 2011 and the new single was recorded just two years ago. The track portrays Deal singing ‘My crystal breath shatters in you / The freak in my reflection sparkles into view / Let’s start a new life,’ in a spoken word vocal with an eerie and spooky beat, bringing back the vibe of the globally famous and largely praised band ‘The Breeders’.
