Gaga has been teasing the release of something new for quite some time on social media and just earlier this afternoon, she shared the cover art for her upcoming EP, ‘Harlequin’. She described the EP to be a “companion album” to the soundtrack for her and Joaquin’s upcoming psychological musical thriller ‘Joker: Folie à Deux.’

While fans have been eagerly waiting for a new album from Gaga for quite some time, the singer showed them that they do not have to wait much longer. “Harlequin. September 27,” the singer wrote in an Instagram post. “A companion album to Joker: Folie à Deux,” she added. In the post, the pop star included the front album cover where she is seen standing in the shower wearing a white dress with a red life jacket that rests around her neck. Gaga is also seen rocking bright orange locks with what appears to be a painting of a heart that is half missing from her face as the water shoots onto her head.
With the Harlequin announcement, Gaga also shared the tracklist for her new album. She included a picture of a milk carton box from Gayle Valley Farms, which is most likely to be a reference to Joker 2. On the box, there are 13 songs printed which gave us the tracklist of Harlequin. Based on just the titles, it seems like a few of the songs might be covers of old records, like ‘That’s Entertainment’, and ‘Gonna Build a Mountain’.
The tracklist of Harlequin is –
- ‘Good Morning’ – 2:46
- ‘Get Happy’ (2024) – 3:11
- ‘Oh, When the Saints’ – 3:42
- ‘World on a String’ – 2:37
- ‘If My Friends Could See Me Now’ – 2:41
- ‘That’s Entertainment’ – 4:09
- ‘Smile’ – 3:38
- ‘The Joker’ – 2:54
- ‘Folie à Deux’ – 2:58
- ‘Gonna Build a Mountain’ – 2:51
- ‘Close to You’ – 2:44
- ‘Happy Mistake’ – 4:05
- ‘That’s Life’ – 3:04
Although this release is entirely done by Gaga and promoted solely in Gaga’s name, this is not going to be her next studio album. On Gaga’s official website, the LP is described simply as the: “New album Harlequin from 13-time GRAMMY® and Academy Award® winner Lady Gaga.”
You will be seeing Lady Gaga at the theaters on October 4th with the release of Joker: Folie à Deux. “I wrote a waltz for the movie,” Gaga said to Vogue recently. “And I had a live piano player, Alex Smith, whom I asked to be with me for my scenes. There are moments in the film where I’m playing an adult woman who sings like a little girl. And she’s moving through the world with this kind of immaturity, which I thought was interesting.”
