Lady Gaga has finally announced the release date for her upcoming album which is the seventh studio LP after 2020. The title of the album has been decided to be ‘Mayhem’.
The anticipation for Lady Gaga’s seventh studio album has been quite high among fans. Till now, they have been addressing the upcoming album as LG7 and now the singer has finally revealed the release date for the upcoming album. But the name is different.
The official title of the seventh studio album is ‘Mayhem’ which is all set to release on March 7. There will be a countdown going on Gaga’s official website before the release of the project. It is for the fans as they have closely waiting and checking every second to listen to it first.
Gaga did a good marketing approach with a choppy black haircut and shattered glass with the name of the album in bold red. It was advertised in Times Square and shared by the artist on social media. But this was back in January. By the time of February, Gaga aired the music of the third single of the album during a Grammy Awards commercial break.

Talking about the seventh studio album, Gaga said, “The album started as me facing my fear of returning to the pop music my earliest fans loved.” When asked about the creative process, she said, it is “reassembling a shattered mirror: even if you can’t put the pieces back together perfectly, you can create something beautiful and whole in its own new way.”
The seventh studio album is released after a long time as her last full-length LP Chromatica was released in 2020. The lead single “Disease” from the upcoming album was released back in October 2024 and offered a perfect starter for the album that deals with Gaga’s vulnerabilities. She described, “It felt like a way into the chaos of the album, which is kind of exercises in chaos – different sides of who I am as a person. To me, there’s some kind of chaos in all of the ways we try to analyze ourselves. ‘Disease’ is the beginning of that.”
The music album is also going to be musically experimental as Gaga said, “The album is chaotic from a genre perspective – it is genre-bending, and I think in that way is a deeply personal look into my mind as a producer and the way I think about music.” She further added, “I returned to a darker pop style of pop, all my early experiences with music came out.”
