Rapper Lil Nas X has just dropped a brand new track on SoundCloud and the demo song is currently buzzing among the fans, but record labels are not happy perhaps!
Fans just received an amazing surprise with a new demo song ‘Light Again’ by none other than rapper Lil Nas X. The rapper already promised earlier this year about the release of his upcoming album. The latest song was released back on Friday, March 29, on SoundCloud and it has created a major sensation among the fans since there was no announcement regarding the release of this track. In the banger, the artist could be seen rapping and singing on the beat of house music.
Nas X also joked that his music label might not approve the release of his new track. The rapper also released the new song on TikTok with the caption, “Ngl might get in trouble for releasing this song without label’s permission but anyway,” and he further added, “Sorry Columbia!”

The anticipation was growing as the artist has been teasing this project on several occasions. Previously in January, he dropped a new song titled ‘Where Do We Go Now?’ that created much buzz. It was written and performed by him only and the track will be featured in the upcoming HBO documentary, Lil Nas X: Long Live Montero.
The rapper also shared his emotional turmoil regarding the controversy and religious backlash regarding the teaser of his new single ‘J Christ’. In this self-directed video, the rapper portrayed a godly character who is playing a basketball game against Satan. The artwork of the crucifix and his portrayal of God did not make the core religious people happy and it sparked a lot of controversy.
In a recent podcast, the rapper was found saying, “I’ve never been here, mentally and even physically, where… you push your art into the world, and it’s received negatively by the majority.” He wisely addressed the matter and said, “But then, like, also understanding why, and having to see it through.”
Fans could notice a Lil Sassy Nas X when he shared how enjoys a bit of chaos, and said, “I’m usually strategic with things and I can kind of move the conversation.” But this time he said, “You can become super angry with yourself.”
The rapper further explained, “Artistically, it was just supposed to be like, I’m returning… I’m back like him.” However, “it turned into this whole thing where it was me trying to dunk on Christians or something.” The rapper further shared that he was thinking, ‘Okay, this looks really bad on paper – this thing that I thought was just, like, a little jokey, fun video.’” With the surprise release of the latest song, Lil Nas X also declared that he will be joining a a Biblical Studies programme.
