Winter is already offering the ambiance for celebration and the Weezer has decided to start this winter with the last act of their EP series, titled ‘SZNZ: Winter’.
The anticipation is high as American rock album Weezer is all set to drop their latest musical album ‘SZNZ: Winter’. This is the fourth and final project of the ‘SZNZ’ series that denotes seasons. This forthcoming album is scheduled to be released on December 21, the first day of winter. Although the band has not teased the project officially yet, fans claim that they have already performed some of the new tracks at The Troubadour in West Hollywood, California, under the name of Goat Punishment. The latest EP will be offering a handful of new singles such as ‘Dark Enough to See the Stars’, ‘I Want a Dig’, ‘The Deep and Dreamless Sleep’, ‘Iambic Pentameter’, and the list goes on. Although the members have not officially announced anything yet, the fans are looking for alternative sources to find more information.
Weezer is a four-piece rock band from America which captivated global listeners with some of the best and most powerful musical projects. Formed by Rivers Cuomo, Patrick Wilson, Scott Shiner, and Brian Bell; the band has been reigning in the music industry since 1992 when it was formed. Their debut music album, the ‘Blue Album’ was released in 1994 and created a huge buzz among the listeners. Talking about the latest projects, Rivers Cuomo said that this album is quite similar to Elliot Smith’s works that feature “lots of loss and despair and kind of quiet.” The artist further stated, “I had the thought that winter sounds more like the original pre-blue album Weezer than The Blue Album does. There hasn’t been this much acoustic guitar and finger picking in Weezer since our first year together”.
There is something about the Weezer and the colors as the band have consistently dropped various albums in different years which are titled based on colors. Starting from its debut with the Blue Album in 1994, the band also dropped Green Album in 2001, Red Album in 2008, White Album in 2016, Teal Album in 2019, and lastly, the Black Album in 2019. Till now, the band has dropped around 15 studio albums and numerous EP projects. SZNZ is one of the most highly anticipated EP projects as the previous seasons have been already released. ‘SZNZ: Sping’ and ‘SZNZ: Summer’ were both released in 2022 and now it is time for the ‘SZNZ: Winter’.
