‘Flowers’ singer Miley Cyrus is ready to drop a brand new album project and already announced the release date for it. However, she is also facing a copyright lawsuit.

Pop queen Miley Cyrus has just announced a brand new visual album called ‘Something Beautiful’ and also declared the release date for it. The album project is all set to release on May 30.
However, the detailed information regarding the album is still scarce. The singer has revealed that there will be a total of 13 tracks in this project which marks her ninth studio album. This album project is co-produced by Cyrus herself along with Shawn Everett who has experience working with Alabama Shakes and Kacey Musgraves. The singer has also revealed the album cover for the project which is shot by Glen Luchford. It showcases the archival 1997 Thierry Mugler couture.

‘Something Beautiful’ is now available for fans to pre-order and it will be available in various formats including limited-edition vinyl, signed vinyl, and CDs along with two box sets featuring collectibles. Miley Cyrus has been teasing her album project for the past week and the hints are well-received by the fans. Her social media accounts kept changing headers. Some hints of the album title and posters could be seen popping up on the Billboards in countries like Brazil, Netherlands and Argentina.
Previously, Miley Cyrus released her iconic album project “Endless Summer Vacation” in March 2023 which offered the single “Flowers.” The song became a massive hit among music lovers and spent a total of eight weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. It also broke many stream records on Spotify and multiple other music platforms. The album also received a lot of recognition as it was nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album and Album of the Year at the Grammys. On the other hand, ‘Flowers’ received awards for Best Pop Solo Performance and Record of the Year.
However, there is a catch. The song ‘Flowers’ is currently under copyright lawsuit as Tempo Music Investments filed a report in Sept. 2024 and accused Miley Cyrus of copying Bruno Mars’ famous track “When I Was Your Man.” While Bruno hardly cares, Tempo Music Investments owns the copyright for the track along with co-writer Philip Lawrence. Last week, the judge denied the request by Cyrus to clear the lawsuit and so, there will be a trial going on. Hopefully, Cyrus’s upcoming album project will not face such a trial. Stay tuned to find out more!
