Fans will soon get another album from Miley Cyrus. After ‘Endless Summer Vacation’, her new album will be out in 2025 and she just revealed some details about it!
Miley Cyrus is coming out with a new album in 2025 and her fans could not be happier! After two long years, her fans will finally get some new music from the pop star. The album titled ‘Something Beautiful’ will be the artist’s 9th studio album after ‘Endless Summer Vacation’ released in 2023. Not just a full set of new songs, the artist has planned quite a lot of new things for her upcoming era. Different from her previous works, the artist has revealed that the new album is set to be a visual album. In an interview for Harper’s Bazaar’s December 2024/January 2025 cover story, Cyrus teased “The visual component of this is driving the sound.”
In this interview, the Grammy-winning Disney alum also gave away a few details from her upcoming ninth studio album. This includes the fact that the album will be released in 2025, although an official date is yet to be determined. Cyrus’s longtime boyfriend, Maxx Morando is the drummer for the rock band Liily and he apparently played a major role in the making of ‘Something Beautiful’. The actress and singer revealed that Morando helped produce multiple tracks in the album, and even helped her write the title track.
As previously stated, ‘Something Beautiful’ will be a visual album. Cyrus states, “It was important for me that every song has these healing sound properties. The songs, whether they’re about destruction or heartbreak or death, they’re presented in a way that is beautiful, because the nastiest times of our life do have a point of beauty. They are the shadow, they are the charcoal, they are the shading. You can’t have a painting without highlights and contrast.”

The singer has taken inspiration from cinema to fashion and some of the prime references include Thierry Mugler’s 1995 couture show. It is a seminal collection that includes the famous robot suit, worn by Zendaya on the Dune: Part Two red carpet. “She’ll want it to feel like this specific runway show or something,” music producer Shawn Everett tells in the interview. “I love when she talks like that. For me, it opens up a whole world.” Cyrus adds, “I can show [Everett] a painting or a dress, and I’ll tell him to convey those colors or that fabric with sound.”
Another major reference is the surrealist musical drama, Pink Floyd: The Wall from 1982. The Grammy-winning artist recalls watching the film as a teenager with her friend and brother. She recalled how while watching the movie she and the group rented a limo and got dressed up in ’70s-style fur coats. “We really leaned in. And so I have this heart-first attachment to it,” the singer says. “My idea was making The Wall, but with a better wardrobe and more glamorous and filled with pop culture.”
The upcoming album will also be more experimental than her previous works. Everett teases, “[The album is] more experimental than anything she’s ever done, but in a pop way that I love.” The singer herself describes her upcoming album as “hypnotizing and glamorous.” She continues: “It’s a concept album that’s an attempt to medicate somewhat of a sick culture through music.”
