Olivia Rodrigo is set to release a deluxe version of ‘Guts’ and part of that is the new song ‘Obsessed’. The singer teases a music video coming at midnight ET on Friday.

She is releasing a music video for the track ‘Obsessed’ for her fans, coming out at midnight this Friday, March 22. The 21-year-old pop star took to Instagram to post a little teaser for the video on March 20. The fan-favorite track, “Obsessed” is set to appear on the deluxe version of her sophomore studio album, Guts. In the preview clip, it prevails that the music video is going to be pageant-themed, where Olivia and other girls are seen wearing sashes. “Miss Right Now” reads the sash across Olivia Rodrigo’s chest in the official teaser trailer.

The video shows Rodrigo entering a room full of women, all wearing beauty pageant sashes. The fans are quick to denote that they represent all misled exes of the singer’s ex. These sashes read “Miss Thought She Was the One,” “Miss Also Thought She Was the One,” “Miss 2 Summers Ago” and more. The theme of the music video sits perfectly well with the jealousy-fueled lyrics of the track. In ‘Obsessed’, Olivia sings “I’m so obsessed with your ex/ I know she’s been asleep on my side of your bed/ And I can feel it.” The video captures Olivia in a black gown as smoke blows in her face while entering the hall filled with women representing the exes. The video also showcases all women seemingly dressed in white gowns where Olivia is the only one wearing a black gown.
Nearly two dozen women were seen sitting around the tables, all with their own superlatives in the sashes in the crowded banquet hall. The energy in the room seemed cheerful at first but shifted to hostile. However, the shots of confetti poppers blasting silver strips, and Rodrigo shredding on guitar suggest that the most-awaited chaos is coming. The singer has been performing the track during the Guts world tour and now will be finally handling the official recording to her fans. On March 20, Olivia announced that she will be releasing five new tracks on Friday, March 22. “5 new tunes for ya!!!!” she captioned the post on Instagram while posing a picture of herself. Rodrigo also held a sign that read “Guts Deluxe out Friday,” while performing and the crew held up the signs of the song titles. The tracks that will be featured on the deluxe version are “Obsessed,” “Girl I’ve Always Been,” “Scared of My Guitar,” “Stranger,” and “So American.” The first four tracks were secretly featured on Guts’ different vinyl records, but ‘So American’ is a brand new track that has not been released yet.
