Beyonce added two new country-themed music tracks, named ‘Texas Hold ’Em’ and ‘16 Carriages‘. The star announced the drop of the ‘Renaissance’ second part.
Beyoncé has just declared the second album in her Renaissance trilogy, which will be released on March 29, in surprise news that appeared during the 58th Super Bowl and was accompanied by two latest soundtracks. The two new tracks, Texas Hold Em and 16 Carriages mark that ‘Act II’ will be country-based support to the dance and house music that was Renaissance of 2022. The surprise music tracks were launched after a self-signifying teaser during the Super Bowl, as a part of an ad campaign for Verizon. In the ad, Beyoncé was displayed trying unsuccessfully to break the internet through a string of stunts, a film named Barbey, a hologram that is called Beyonc-AI, a presidential campaign for Botus, before stating, ‘OK, they ready. Drop the new music.’ Briefly, after the ad was aired, a new snippet was posted to Beyoncé’s Instagram profile, teasing the soundtrack Texas Hold Em and promising ‘Act II’ will be launched on 29 March.
The fans of Beyoncé have been expecting a new creation alongside Renaissance since the debut album was launched in July 2022. Beyoncé shared in the liner notes beside the record at that time, saying, ‘This three act project was recorded over three years during the pandemic,’ furthermore she added, ‘A time to be still, but also a time I found to be the most creative.’ Along with the tracks, stunning artwork has been dropped for the two new musicals, with both containing Beyoncé wearing a cowboy hat. She wore a white cowboy hat to the Grammys last week too, where Jay-Z her husband, got an award for his worldwide influence. Beyoncé’s Renaissance tour earned $579m and was followed by the ‘Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé’ part concert film, a part-documentary that came into US cinemas in November. The artist launched a new single ‘My House’ too in that time.
Moreover, Beyoncé’s ‘Act II’ reveal follows a series of high-profile country album declarations this month, after Lana Del Rey confirmed her country record Lasso was in the creations previously in February and country star Kasey Musgraves declared that her fifth record, Deeper Well, will come out in the middle of the month, March. After Beyoncé’s declarations on Sunday, singer and rapper Lil Nas X – who beat the records with his own popular country-based single ‘Old Town Road’ in 2019 which went viral later, shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, ‘Beyoncè finna make me put my cowboy hat back on’. Well, Beyonce’s second creation, ’16 Carriages’ is a country-themed single. Both of the songs feature inspiration from legendary producer Raphael Saadiq, and Solange, Beyonce’s sister.
