While fans have been waiting patiently for Rihanna to come back and release her next studio album, the pop global star revealed that the new songs she has been working on are really ‘Diamonds’! In one event in honor of the release of her new Fenty x Puma Creeper Phatty Earth Tone sneaker in London on Wednesday, Rihanna was asked about her plan to come back on the red carpet. The ‘Work’ singer opened up in an interview with Entertainment Tonight about the new music that she has been working on. While she did not give away many details on the process or the material, the pop superstar did hint that the wait would be worth it because the songs on this highly anticipated album are “so good”.
Riri first spoke about her upcoming project when in the interview with ET, a reporter asked her about her two sons and their music plan. The reporter asked the singer about her two sons 23 months-old RZA and 8 months-old Riot that she had with her beau A$AP Rocky might be music artists one day or have any plans of appearing in her upcoming music. She responded, “I mean, it’s up to them.”

“I already got stuff that I feel like I can make hits out of,” the ‘Umbrella‘ singer continued. “Really.” It was in this conversation that Rihanna teased that the new song material that she has been working on for this project is “so good” that rap superstar partner, Rocky has discussed rapping over them for himself. “Me and Rocky are really trying to figure out who is going to use what,” Rihanna said. She also admitted that at this moment she is not able to give away any more details. The interviewers asked her about the visual ideas that has been conceiving which she recently spoke about having in another interview. To that, she also responded she was not being able to give away anything more. When fans wanted to know when the ninth studio album is going to drop, Riri confirmed she also doesn’t have anything planned. She jokingly said, “I wanna know, too.”
The ‘We Found Love’ singer got her fans excited recently when she hinted that new music might be on its way. In another interview conducted in February, she shared with the world that she has “a lot of visual ideas,” but, “I don’t have the songs for them yet.” The nine-time Grammy winner shared, “It’s weird. My brain is working backward right now. I usually have the music first, and the music leads me into all of these visual opportunities, and now I’m having all of these visuals.” “But maybe that’s the key, this time,” Riri continued. “Maybe the visual ideas are leading me to the songs that I need to make.”
