Love birds, Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco are working together on their first album and the second single ‘Call Me When You Break Up’ along with Gracie Abrams.
Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco seem to embrace their personal relationship in the latest music project ‘Call Me When You Break Up’. They have teamed up with Gracie Abrams for this music project and it is quite engaging.
With the lines like “Call me when you break up / I wanna be the first one on your mind when you wake up / I miss the way we’d stay up / We’d talk about forever when I’m takin’ off my makeup,” it seems she is reminding of her old relationship to get out of the current one.
On the other hand, Abrams was found singing the verses, “Call me when you break up / I’m battlin’ the lack of us, I’ve looked for medication / Tried every obvious replacement / In bars, in strangers’ beds until my faith was in the basement,” which is a confession of how heartbroken she was after leaving the lover behind. The accompanying music video for the song is shot in a creative vertical way which makes it look like a video call.
‘Call Me When You Break Up’ marks the first collaboration between this trio and this is the second music project between Abrams and Blanco. Previously, they collaborated on the track ‘Unlearn’ in 2021. The latest single will be appearing on the upcoming album ‘I Said I Love You First’ which is the first collaborative album by Gomez and Blanco. It is scheduled to be released this spring, on March 21.
The lead single from the album ‘Scared Of Loving You’ was released back on Valentine’s Day and offered a romantic essence for the fans. Selena and Blanco have been working together in the music industry for a long time now and their love life is also a part of it. Previously, they worked together on many hit projects like 2015’s ‘Same Old Love’.
The couple already confirmed their relationship back in 2023 and last in December, they have also announced their engagement. Although the singer has been previously vocal about not doing music anymore while focusing on her acting career, she also said that she will “always have music in my life because my partner’s a musician, and I love having moments to do it for fun.”
Looks like Selena’s music career “isn’t going away”.
