Soccer Mommy offers a heart-melting balladic rendition of Taylor Swift’s I’m Only Me When I’m With You’. She has announced the release dates of her upcoming EP as well.
Without any debates, Taylor Swift can be designated as the most popular pop star of this age. And often eminent emerging artists are seen covering her flawless tracks. And Soccer Mommy has also joined this queue by offering a heart-touching rendition of ‘I’m Only Me When I’m With You’, of the impressive tracks from Taylor Swift’s first album. The charmingly performed Upbeat track got more gravity with some melodic twists in this new edition. Yet, Sophie Allison, vastly known as Soccer Mommy, kept the core essence of the tracks intact.
While releasing the video, Allison said, “I really wanted to cover this song because it’s one of my favorites from Taylor’s first album.” Adding more to this she said, “I listened to that record so much when I was a kid, and I think it had a lot of influence on me then.” The profound and smoother approach to the song reflected the gravity of the lyricism of this number. Soccer Mommy has done a great job giving this track a whole new vibe.
While she went experimental with the aura of this flawless release, yet she kept the essential compositions intact. The switching of the fiddle-and-guitar riff ends the chorus with something suitable that levitates the vibe of this rendition. The song is in the talk once again almost after a decade, even Swift has stopped playing it in her concerts. It is evident that 2023 is going to be a great year for ‘I’m Only Me When I’m With You’.

Last year, Allison released a demo version of the song ‘Darkness Forever’ followed by her recent studio album ‘Sometimes, Forever’, released last summer. The EP is going to be out on 22nd September, produced by the Loma Vista label. Apart from Taylor Swift’s ‘I’m Only Me When I’m With You’ cover, Allison has dropped, Sheryl Crow’s ‘Soak Up the Sun’ as well.
