The summer sun shines a bit brighter in Barbados, and this 2-month long ‘Crop Over’ festival was star-studded with some of the most popular faces including the Barbadian singer and successful businesswoman. The only way one can survive this festival that goes for weeks is “Rum and stamina,” puns Carol Roberts-Refer, the CEO of Barbados’ National Cultural Foundation. The festival started on the first Monday of August and continues for weeks.
While everyone was on the streets in ornamented apparel and following the tradition feathers have always been an integral part of this procession. Rihanna too was glorifying the streets with her incredible deity-like appearance. On this Monday, she caused an uproar when she appeared at the carnival. She rocked the streets with her bejeweled costume with a matching headpiece.
On releasing a video of this event netizens went gaga over her appearance. One person wrote on social media, “Looking amazing as usual!” while another wrote, “A literal goddess”. She truly was charming at this event and her fans were truly mesmerized by her daunting style and also her glorifying outfit. She has been consistent with her presence at this festival in the previous years.

In 2019, she appeared in a hot pink mini dress along with ostrich-colored feathers. In 2015, she was at the carnival in a dazzling all-white outfit and she also posted a saucy clip when she was twerking and she captioned the video, “Eye-soul-action #CaribbeanGal #Culture.” The owner of ‘Fenty Beauty’ also has been accused of “photoshop fail” when she posted a picture of herself at the carnival.
This carnival is all about sugar cane plantations during slavery and it marked the harvest of Sugar cane for the season. This has been the most colorful festival and has been a part of Barbadian culture for centuries. The billionaire businesswoman has confirmed that she will be happy to expand their brood in the future as well.
Earlier this month, she celebrated the first Birthday of her son Riot with her long-time partner A$AP Rocky. They welcomed their firstborn RZA in 2022 and in the following year, they welcomed their family. Recently in an interview, she said, “I would go for more than two,” in April. She again added, “I would try for my girl. But of course, if it’s another boy, it’s another boy.” She again added, “[I’ll have] as many as God wants me to have.” The “Umbrella” songstress again added, “I don’t know what God wants.”
