SB19 Honored at Billboard K Power 100

The SB19 debuted in 2018 and since then, they have been paving a new direction in the P-pop music industry their excellent musical creativity was honored with the Voice of Asia Award at Billboard Korea’s Billboard K POWER 100 which took place at THE SHILLA Seoul where this group of musically talented males took the stage to receive this prestigious award and share their thoughts and gratefulness. With their creativity, this group consisting of Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken, and Justin has highlighted P-pop in a different color altogether and has reached global fame.

On 27^Th August, when this male band took the stage they expressed their gratitude and thankfulness while receiving the prestigious award with Josh almost shouting out fellow P-pop BINI act saying, ‘This milestone belongs not just to us, but to the entire P-pop movement, OPM, and of course, everyone sharing Filipino creativity across Asia and the world.’ And Pablo added, ‘To every Filipino artist, creative, and to the music legends before us: you inspire us to keep growing and to excel without losing heart. This award represents the P-pop community’s mission and that is to bring Filipino artistry to the global stage, starting right here in Asia.’

They added to this,’ Thank you, Billboard Korea, it’s an honor. Thank you for this honor, thank you for this award. We are grateful to be receiving this in a country that has inspired so many fellow Asian [artists] to become globally recognized. We’d also like to thank our team, 1Z Entertainment, Sony Music, to Billboard, Billboard Korea, and Billboard Philippines for giving us the platform, for giving us the chance to bring our music beyond borders and beyond cultures. We’d also like to give a shoutout to our fellow Filipino artists who are here right now: BINI, we are proud of you. We’ve been making waves right now. Of course, to our A’TIN, and to our families, thank you for believing in us first. You are the fuel for us to push boundaries.’

Apart from this, they expressed their gratitude for being able to share the stage with other magnifying P-pop artists by saying, ‘As Voices of Asia, we’re proud to stand alongside our fellow Asian artists, showcasing the diversity and richness of our cultures through our music.’ SB19 has created history time after time with their music. They were the first P-pop band to rank on Billboard’s Top Social 50 Artists chart, they also scored a sixth place on Billboard’s Hot Trending Songs chart with global hits like ‘Bazinga’ and ‘GENTO’ and now with this new award the artists are more focused at making great Filipino music than ever.
