8th January marks the 74th birthday of icon David Bowie with two big celebrations coming up. The first one is a virtual concert that will feature some of the best-known collaborating artists with Bowie such as Peter Frampton, Nine Inch Nails’ Trent Reznor, Michael C. Hall, and Duran Duran among others. Hall performed on stage in London in Lazarus as the character of Newton as played by Bowie in The Man Who Fell to Earth. This will also stream on Bowie’s birthday and also through the weekend.
The following are some of the most anticipated streaming events happening between the 4th and 10th of January.
Jan 5- The #IVoted Festival Georgia will celebrate voting to mark the state’s senate run-off election featuring The Drive-By Truckers, Kate Pierson of the B-52s, and more. The event starts at 1 p.m. ET.
Jan 8- A Bowie Celebration: Just for One Day will celebrate Bowie’s 74th birthday featuring Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails, Billie Corgan of the Smashing Pumpkins, Perry Farrell of Jane’s Addiction, and many more. The three-hour concert starts at 9 p.m. ET.
Jan 8-10- The London production of Lazarus starring Michael C. Hall will stream celebrating Bowie’s birthday. It will feature music from Bowie’s discography and will be available for streaming across various time zones.
