The ‘Drop It Like It’s Hot’ rapper also sponsored the match and performed the coin toss. That is not all, as the Associated Press reports, the halftime show of the game was also directed by him. “This is a seven-day-a-week thing with me, man,” the rapper said. “I guess I’m the people’s champ because I love the people as much as they love me.” The clips were uploaded to various social media platforms and quickly went viral. On a post made on X (formerly Twitter), the comments read, “Coach Dogg”, “Go Snoop Dogg”, and “Coach Snoop is bringing his style to the Old Pueblo! And the weather is perfect for a great game.”, “What are these sunglasses?!   I need them in my life!!!!”, etc.

After the ceremony ended, the rapper’s contributions to the game continued. He handed out gold chains to the players and posed for pictures. It was such a graceful moment to witness for both the participants as well as the viewers. The match ended with the Miami RedHawks beating the Colorado State Rams 43-17. Altogether, the match was surely a memorable one and Snoop Dogg’s presence and his contributions made the occasion even more special.

The news came right after it was revealed that the ‘Nuthin’ but a “G” Thang’ artists, Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg sampled a song on their new album ‘Missionary’, which was by a learning disabilities charity in London. The infamous duo and frequent collaborators shared their energetic single ‘Outta Da Blue’ last month recently. It was part of the rollout of their new album that is to be released on December 13 via Death Row Records. After the single’s release, it has come to light that the rap duo has sampled the song ‘Watermelon Fantasy’ on their newest release, which was originally released in 2018 by the charity Daylight Studio.

Missionary’, Dogg’s new album is a follow-up to the rapper’s debut album ‘Doggystyle’ in 1993. After releasing, Dogg’s debut album topped both the Billboard 200 and Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts. The album was also one of the most successful ones of the year and sold more than 800,000 copies in its opening week. ‘Doggystyle’ featured a wide list of guest artists including the late Tom Petty, Jelly Roll, 50 Cent, and Eminem.

NME, a well-known music review publication gave the album a green light when it was originally released. The publication awarded the record three stars and said it “was an underwhelming sequel to a hip-hop classic.” It further added, “Dre and Snoop forgot the legacy they created for the West Coast with ‘Doggystyle’ and – although there are flashes of fun – the forgettable collection barely scratches the surface of their legendary status.”
