Sony Music Is About Buy The Rights Of Pink Floyd’s Music Catalog For $500 Million

Financial Times has reported that Sony Music is going to buy the rights to Pink Floyd’s music records for $500 million. According to the reports, it is becoming known that completing this deal was more difficult than ever due to the personal differences between David Gilmour and Roger Waters. Both of them had different visions and for that reason, reaching a deal was quite difficult. Till now, it was one of the biggest deals in the music industry.

A lot of bids have taken place for this deal. Previously it has been seen that groups like Warner Music,Hipgnosis, and BMG have bid for the music rights of the band. However, every time it was unsuccessful. This time, Sony Music has gone ahead and talked about the final rights of their music.

Pink Floyd has gone ahead and preparing to sell its catalog. In this music right, soundtracks like ‘Money’, ‘Another Brick in the Wall’ and ‘Wish You Were Here’ will included. These are one of the most famous songs of the band. If Sony Music gets the music rights of the band, then it would be one of the most successful music deals of all time.
